Prerequisites
This feature is available on the Business plan.
An Owner or Admin can connect and disconnect Slack.
A Slack channel to receive notifications (a dedicated channel makes them easier to review)
An account you can use to sign in to Slack
Steps
1. Open the Integrations page

Open Settings > Integrations in the left menu. Find Slack in the Workspace Integrations list.
2. Click Connect for Slack
Click Connect in the Slack row. Slack's sign-in and authorization screen opens.
3. Select a channel and authorize in Slack
Sign in to Slack and select the channel where you want to receive notifications. Then grant Cascade access.
4. Confirm the connection
When you return to Cascade, the message "Successfully connected to Slack." appears. Slack shows Connected in the list, and the channel name appears under Account. The following message also arrives in the selected channel.
"🎉 Cascade is now connected to Slack! Notifications will be sent to this channel."
Disconnect
Click Remove for Slack on the Integrations page. The following confirmation appears.
"Disconnecting will remove access to data from the connected service and limit the reports and data you can view. Are you sure you want to disconnect?"
Continue to disconnect. Slack notifications stop immediately. Messages already received remain in the channel. Your Cascade reports and data are not affected.
To change the notification channel, disconnect and then reconnect.
Troubleshooting
Symptom | Cause | Action |
|---|---|---|
Cannot click Connect | You do not have permission to configure the connection. | Ask an Owner or Admin to configure it. |
The message "The Slack connection link has already been used or has expired" appears | You opened an old connection screen, or too much time passed during setup. | If the list still shows Not connected, start again with Connect. |
The message "Failed to connect with Slack." appears | A temporary issue | Please try again later. |
Reconnect appears under Notices in the list | Connections using the previous method cannot receive campaign and ad group tables from morning performance summaries in threads. | Disconnect Slack, then reconnect it. If the destination is a private channel, invite the Cascade Slack app to that channel after reconnecting (it joins public channels automatically). |
The connection is complete, but notifications do not arrive | The channel was deleted in Slack, or the app was removed. | Check the app's status in Slack, then disconnect and reconnect. |
You want to change the notification channel | There is no way to change the channel directly. | Click Remove to disconnect, then reconnect and select the new channel. |
