Manage your Amazon prices and competitor prices in Pricing
Change or restore Amazon retail and business prices within margin limits, approve sale prices, assign pricing rules, and monitor competitors for bid proposals.
Author: Cascade
Pricing lets you change the selling prices of products listed on Amazon from Cascade and restore their previous prices. It automatically calculates a price floor from your costs and fee rates, below which no gross profit remains, to prevent excessive price cuts. You can also monitor competitor prices regularly, detect changes such as price drops, and receive notifications and ad bid proposals.
Open EC > Pricing from the left menu. The screen has 2 tabs: Own Prices and Competitor Prices.

Requirements
Available on the Business plan.
You need to connect an Amazon Sales seller account. If you connect a vendor account, the message "Price management isn't available for the connected Amazon account" appears.
Owners, Admins, Editors, and Viewers can view this screen. Editors and above can request price changes and register competitor products. Owners and Admins can set costs and floors, approve price changes, assign rules, and reject coupon suggestions.
Own Prices
For each listed SKU, you can view the current selling price, cost, floor, price change proposals, and the status of Amazon automated pricing rules.
Column / display | Description |
|---|---|
Fee rate / ad cost rate | The selling fee rate and ad cost rate calculated from the past 30 days of performance appear at the top right. These rates are used to calculate the floor automatically. |
Product | Product name, SKU, and ASIN |
Current price | The current selling price imported from Amazon. The import date appears above the table as Price Retrieval Date. |
Business price | The price for Amazon Business buyers and whether quantity discounts are available. Listings without a business price show Not set. |
Cost / Floor | The cost you set and the minimum price allowed. SKUs without these settings show Not set, and you cannot change their prices. |
Proposed price / Proposal status | The requested price change and its status (Awaiting approval, Applying, Applied, Unconfirmed, Failed, or Rejected) |
Rule / Rule status | The assigned Amazon automated pricing rule and its status (Applied, Unconfirmed, Removal pending, or Seller Central) |
Row actions | Use the icons on the right to open Set cost and floor, Change price (Review proposal when a proposal is pending), Assign rule (Change rule when a rule is assigned), or History. |
1. Set cost and floor

Click Set cost and floor in the row for the SKU.
Enter the Cost. If fee rate and ad cost rate data is available, the floor calculated as "cost / (1 - fee rate - ad cost rate)" appears under Floor Derived from Cost.
Under How to set the floor, select Derive from cost or Enter directly. If there is not enough performance data to calculate the floor automatically, or you want to use your own floor, select Enter directly and enter the floor.
Click Save.
The floor applies to all price changes, price restorations, and rule assignments. You cannot set a price below the floor.
2. Change a price

Click Change price in the row for the SKU.
Under Price to change, select Unbranded or Business. If a listing has no business price, the retail price also applies to business buyers.
Enter the New price. It must be within the floor and upper limit, and each change is limited to ±20% of the current price. Add a Note if needed.
If you are an Owner or Admin, select I understand this rewrites the listing price on Amazon and click Apply to apply the change directly to Amazon. If you are an Editor, click Request change to set the status to Awaiting approval. An Owner or Admin then opens Review proposal in the row and selects Approve and apply or Rejected.
After applying the change, Cascade checks the price on Amazon (up to 1 minute). If confirmed, the status changes to Applied. If it cannot be confirmed, the status changes to Unconfirmed.
Price changes are limited to 1 per SKU per day. If you have connected Slack, Chatwork, or Microsoft Teams, the results of price changes and restorations are sent to your chat.
3. Restore the previous price
Open Change history below the table or History in the row, and click Roll back for the change you want to undo. Restoring a previous price is exempt from the change-size limit and the limit of 1 change per day, but the price must remain within the floor and upper limit. You can retry an Unconfirmed change using the same action.
4. Approve a sale price proposal
When a sale price proposal arrives, Proposal status changes to Awaiting approval. Open Review proposal in the row to display Approve sale price proposal and review the terms: "X% off for X days starting the day after approval." When an Owner or Admin clicks Approve and set, the sale price is set on Amazon. You can remove a sale price before the sale period ends by clicking Remove in the history.
5. Assign an Amazon automated pricing rule

You can use Cascade to assign automated pricing rules created in Amazon Seller Central to SKUs. Once assigned, the Amazon rule automatically adjusts the price within the floor and upper limit.
Click Assign rule in the row for the SKU.
Under Rule, select a rule already assigned to another SKU. To use a rule for the first time, assign it to 1 SKU in Seller Central, then select Other (enter an ID) and enter the rule ID. You cannot create rules from Cascade.
Enter the Floor (the active floor by default) and, if needed, the upper limit in To, then click Assign.
To assign a rule to multiple SKUs at once, select the checkboxes in their rows and click Assign a rule to the selected SKUs. You can select up to 50 SKUs at a time. Each may take up to about 1 minute, so keep the screen open until processing finishes.
While a rule is assigned, you cannot change the price directly from Cascade. In a row with an assigned rule, use Change rule to switch to another rule, or Remove to remove it. Assignment changes made in Seller Central are imported into Cascade once a day and labeled Seller Central.
Change history
The 50 most recent changes appear below the table. You can check the date and time, product, type (Price change, Restoration, Rule assigned, Rule removed, Sale price set, or Sale price removed), prices before and after the change, result (Success, Unconfirmed, Failed, Restored, or Removed), and the reason for any failure.
Coupon suggestions
You may receive suggestions to run coupons based on Amazon brand metrics. When suggestions arrive, the message "You have X coupon suggestions." appears above the list. Click the chip in the relevant row to view the details. These are suggestions only; you set up coupons in Seller Central. Owners and Admins can reject suggestions they do not need.
Competitor Prices

Register competitor ASINs in the watch list to have Cascade monitor the Featured Offer (Buy Box) price, lowest price, and number of sellers every 15 minutes and detect changes such as price drops. Until monitoring is ready, the message "Competitor price monitoring is being prepared." appears (see below).
1. Register competitor products

Click Edit watch list.
Enter the ASINs you want to register in Competitor ASINs. Separate multiple ASINs with line breaks or commas (up to 100 per product). If Amazon Ads is connected, ASINs targeted by your ads appear as suggestions that you can click to add.
Enter Your ASIN to compare and a Note if needed, then click Register. If you specify your own ASIN, it is used to detect when a competitor undercuts your price and to show the basis for bid proposals.
Use the edit and delete icons in each row to edit or delete a registered competitor product. Deleting it stops monitoring.
2. Review monitoring results
Column | Description |
|---|---|
Competitor product | Product name (or ASIN if the name cannot be retrieved) |
Featured price / Lowest price / Offers | The price including shipping of the offer that holds the Buy Box, the lowest price including shipping, and the number of offers at the most recent observation |
Status | Not Observed / Observed / No offers / Fetch failed |
Active detections | The types of changes currently detected |
30-day trend | Daily Featured Offer price trends over the past 30 days |
Last observed | The date and time of the most recent observation |
3. Change detection, notifications, and bid proposals
When monitoring detects the following changes, each occurrence and recovery is recorded separately in Recent changes (the 50 most recent entries). If you have connected Slack, Chatwork, or Microsoft Teams, you receive an "Amazon competitor price change notification."
Detection type | Description | Bid proposal |
|---|---|---|
Featured Offer price drop | The Buy Box price has dropped by 5% or more since the previous observation. | Yes |
Competitor undercut your price | The competitor's price has fallen below the price of your ASIN selected for comparison. | Yes |
Amazon itself won the Featured Offer | Amazon's own offer has won the Buy Box. | Yes |
Promotion added | A promotion has been added to the competitor product. | No |
Offer count changed | The number of sellers has increased or decreased by 3 or more. | No |
When a change that triggers a bid proposal is detected, a proposal appears in Bid Optimization under Ad Optimization for Amazon Sponsored Products ads that target that competitor product. It proposes lowering bids by 20% only while the competitor's price is lower (at most once every 7 days for the same competitor product). Open Review in AI Optimization in the Bid proposal column of Recent changes to review the proposal. Approving it updates the bid. When the competitor's price returns to its previous level, proposals awaiting a decision expire automatically. These proposals are not eligible for automatic application.
If "Monitoring is being prepared" appears
Competitor price monitoring requires Amazon to grant Cascade access to pricing information through Amazon's review process. Until the review is complete, the message "Competitor price monitoring is being prepared." appears, and you can only register and edit the watch list. Once monitoring starts, prices and changes appear for registered competitor products in sequence. After monitoring starts, an older connection that does not include access to pricing information may show "Amazon Sales needs to be re-authorized". If this happens, reconnect Amazon Sales from Settings > Integrations.
Usage notes
Price changes and sale price settings directly overwrite listing prices on Amazon. Always check the new price before applying it.
Amounts are displayed and entered in the currency of your Amazon Sales connection. You cannot manage prices immediately after connecting while the currency is still being determined.
If "No listed SKUs. They appear after the inventory sync." appears, check again after the Amazon Sales inventory sync (once a day) finishes.
The floor cannot be calculated automatically until fee rate and ad cost rate data is available. Use Enter directly to set the floor.
