About EC Analysis

EC Analysis has Sales for store metrics and Items for product results. See supported stores, reports, Amazon and Stripe features, date ranges, and data updates.

Author: Cascade

EC Analysis lets you analyze data from connected ecommerce stores and payment services across sales, products, customers, and inventory. Combined with ad performance, this data helps you identify areas for improvement.

The EC section in the left menu has 5 pages: Sales for store-wide metrics, Items for product performance, Reviews for review topics, Catalog for per-product gross margins and Amazon A+ Content, and Pricing for Amazon selling prices and competitor prices. This article provides an overview of Sales and Items.

Sales page

Prerequisites

  • Available on the Business plan.

  • Owners, Admins, Editors, and Viewers can view these pages. Guests cannot.

  • You must have connected one of the following: Shopify / Shopline / Colorme Shop / BASE / Amazon Sales / Rakuten Ichiba / Yahoo! Shopping / Qoo10 / TikTok Shop / Smaregi (physical stores) / Stripe (sales source).

If no service is connected, "EC Platform Not Connected" appears. Click Set Up Integrations to open Settings > Integrations, then connect a service under Commerce Integrations.

When you have 2 or more connections, use the tabs at the top of the screen to switch stores. If you connect both a seller and a vendor in Amazon Sales, switch between Seller and Vendor within the tab.

Select a date range

Date range selector

On each page, use the date range selector in the upper right to change the displayed period. The default is Last 14 Days. Your selected store tab and date range are shared between Sales and Items.

Choose from Today, Yesterday, 2 Days Ago, Last 1 day, Last 7 Days, Last 14 Days, Last 28 Days, Last 30 Days, This Week, Last Week, This Month, Last Month, This Year, Last Year, or a custom range with a start and end date. Periods restricted by the store's data retrieval limits are automatically removed from the options.

Amazon order details and financial data, as well as Rakuten Ichiba and Yahoo! Shopping order details, are retained only for the most recent 90 days. Analyses that compare with the previous period appear only when both the selected period and the previous period fall within those 90 days. Rakuten Ichiba's Product ABC Analysis, Product Sales Ranking, and Sales trend by item are not subject to this limit. TikTok Shop has a 92-day data retrieval limit.

Data update timing

  • Data from each store is imported automatically at least 1 time per day. Data for the current day appears the next day or later.

  • Historical data is imported during the initial connection setup (the past 2 years for Amazon daily data).

  • Immediately after you connect Rakuten Ichiba, orders from the most recent 90 days are imported first. Earlier history is filled in progressively during subsequent syncs. Once the import is complete, data syncs automatically about every 6 hours.

  • Due to Shopify's specifications, Sales by Channel for Shopify includes only orders from approximately the most recent 60 days.

  • Sales target progress and projected final sales use results through the previous day. They update each morning and when sales data finishes syncing.
