Creating UTM
This explains the value of the "media" in the UTM that can be created within Cascade.

You can generate URLs with UTM parameters used for access analysis. By setting sources, media types, campaign names, and so on, you can use them for measuring the effectiveness of each advertisement and content.
1. Select [Generate UTM] from the left menu
The UTM generation screen will be displayed.

2. Enter each item
Enter the following items.
Item | Required / Optional | Content |
|---|---|---|
URL | Required | The URL to which parameters will be added (e.g.: https://example.com) |
Source | Required | The name of the service or media as the source. Select from the list. (e.g.: Blog) |
Media | Required | The type of media as the source. Select from the list. (e.g.: Affiliates) |
Campaign | Required | Campaign name (e.g.: spring_sale) |
Keyword | Optional | Search keyword (e.g.: bag) |
Content | Optional | Information to identify the variations of the advertisement (e.g.: banner_a) |
3. Press [Generate UTM]
A URL with UTM parameters will be generated.
About the media values
The list of [Media] will display the following values.

affiliate | Affiliate advertisements via ASP or performance-based links |
app | Banners within our app, or in-app pop-ups, etc. |
audio | Audio advertisements such as Spotify ads and Podcasts |
banner | Static banner placements on other sites (fixed placements) |
cpc | Click-based banners such as Google display ads, social media ads, or general paid article ads |
cpm | Banner ads charged by impressions (charging based on display counts) |
Email newsletters, step emails, and direct mail distribution | |
organic_social | Organic social media posts (links without advertising costs) |
paidsearch | Search-related advertisements such as Google and Yahoo! (SEM) |
Printed media such as flyers, magazine ads, and QR codes in catalogs | |
push | Web push notifications from browsers and push notifications on smartphones |
referral | Referral links from other blogs or partner sites (links without advertising fees) |
retargeting | Ad sets specifically for retargeting or remarketing |
sms | Coupons or guide links sent via SMS (short message) on mobile phones |
video | Advertisements centered around video formats such as YouTube ads and TikTok ads |
custom | Free input for cases that do not fall under any of the above |
