5. Enter the campaign's basic information

Campaign basic information screen

The fields vary by ad platform and campaign type. The main fields are listed below.

Field

Description

Destination URL

The URL your ad links to. Enter it and proceed to the next step. AI reads the page and drafts headlines, descriptions, and keywords for the screens that follow. Change the draft language under AI generation language.

Campaign name

Select from Name suggestions (click to fill) or enter a name directly. Suggestions are based on your past naming conventions and the page content.

Target locations

Choose Select cities or Drop pins on a map. For Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, you can also choose a Location option.

Target Attributes / Audience

Age, gender, household income, life events, detailed demographics, custom segments, audience lists, and more. The fields vary by ad platform.

Placements / Delivery Schedule

Specify delivery networks, devices, and time slots for each day of the week. For Microsoft Ads, you can also choose delivery on the audience network and search partners.

6. Set the budget and bidding strategy

Budget and bidding strategy screen

Under Budget & Period, enter a daily or lifetime budget and the delivery period (start and end dates). If you do not want to set an end date, select No end date. Enter amounts in the currency of the connected ad account. Minimum budgets and notes appear on the screen.

Under Bidding Strategy, choose an option such as Maximize Conversions, Target CPA, or Target ROAS. The Target Metrics and Bid cap fields appear depending on the strategy. Some ad platforms also let you set a frequency cap. For Google Ads, you can assign an existing portfolio bidding strategy.

7. Set up ad groups and creatives

Ad group and creative setup screen

Set the ad group name, targeting, keywords, and creative. The preview on the right shows how the ad looks with your entries.

Field

Description

Targeting

Age, gender, interests, audiences, excluded audiences, and more. You can also select lists created in Audience Management.

Search keywords

Set keywords, match types, and negative keywords. You can edit and use AI draft suggestions.

Creative

Choose assets created with image or video generation, or assets from the library. For Meta Ads, you can also select existing posts. The required number of assets and aspect ratios appear on the screen.

Headlines / Descriptions / Ad Text

Enter text within the ad platform's character limits. If an AI draft is filled in, use it as is or edit it. Click Generate Variations to add suggestions.

  • On ad platforms that support creating multiple ad groups at once, use the tabs at the top of the screen to Add ad group, Duplicate this ad group, or Remove this ad group. The maximum number you can create at once depends on the campaign type.

  • To enter multiple ads, switch between the tab for each ad.

  • On the library asset selection screen, assets that do not meet the requirements are labeled Unsupported ratio, Unsupported size, Unsupported format, or File too large and cannot be selected. Double-click a tile to view it at its original size.

8. Review the preview and click Done

Preview (review) screen

Campaign Overview summarizes your entries. Review the details and click Done to create the campaign on the ad platform from Cascade.

  • If the approval workflow is enabled, click Request review. The status shows Awaiting approval until approval is granted. After approval, click Done to launch the ads. The ads launch with the content as it was when approved.

  • If you have configured the campaign to use codes from UTM management, UTM parameters are automatically added to the landing URL. If they are not added, the reason appears.

  • The completion screen shows "Your ads have been posted." and the number of ad groups created. Click Back to Top to return to the creation method selection screen.

  • OpenAI Ads begin running after they pass the ad platform's review. The review status appears on the completion screen.

Save and resume drafts

While entering details, click Save Draft at the top right. In Save Draft, choose whether to save a new draft or overwrite an existing one. Give it a title and save it. You cannot overwrite drafts awaiting approval or already approved.

To resume, select Resume from draft from the creation methods. Select a draft from the Saved Drafts list and click Resume Creation. The list shows the title, creator, what you are creating, campaign type, and date added. You can delete drafts you no longer need from the list.

If you open the screen with entries remaining from your last session, the message "Showing your previous entries." appears. Click Continue to pick up where you left off or Start over to begin again. When starting over, you can choose whether to save your previous entries as a draft.

About AI drafts

Enter a destination URL and proceed to the next step. AI reads the page content and drafts the following items. Drafts fill only empty fields. Fields you have already filled in stay unchanged.

  • Headlines, descriptions, and ad text (generated within the ad platform's character limits)

  • Keyword suggestions for search ads

  • Campaign name and ad group name suggestions

If you have registered Brand Guidelines, the drafts follow your writing rules and tone. You can edit the drafts before using them. If suggestions could not be prepared for some fields, a notice appears at the top of the screen. If generation fails, enter the text manually or use the generation button for each field.

If you change the URL or AI generation language along the way, a notice indicates that the draft is based on the previous settings. Click Regenerate for the current URL or Regenerate in the selected language to regenerate it.

For campaign types without an ad destination field, enter a Reference Page URL. This URL is used only as a reference for drafts and is not sent to the ad platform.

Create Amazon Ads by selecting ASINs

For Amazon Ads, you can create Sponsored Products ads by selecting the ASINs of the products to advertise. On the campaign type selection screen, click Launch with just ASINs (Amazon SP). Based on Amazon's recommendations, up to 3 campaigns are created at once.

  • Products and goals: Select an ad account (seller / vendor), then enter or search for ASINs to add (up to 10). Set the campaign name prefix, monthly budget (optional), number of keywords (default 10, maximum 50), and Target ACoS (%).

  • Review drafts: Draft campaigns for auto targeting, keyword targeting, and product targeting appear. Up to 20 product targets are suggested, with reasons such as Top converting targets, Similar items (frequently viewed together), and Complements. The source of each value is indicated by Recommended, Click estimate, or No recommendation (enter manually). Review and edit the details, then create the campaigns.

  • Creation results: Each campaign shows "Created successfully" or "Could not create" with a reason. You can retry only the campaigns that failed.

If you set a target ACoS, the campaigns you create are eligible for automatic bid optimization (see Automatically optimize Amazon Ads bids and delivery schedules). Users with the Owner or Admin role can set this value. For seller accounts, SKUs are automatically identified from ASINs. ASINs whose SKUs cannot be identified are removed from the draft.

When you create Sponsored Brands campaigns with a seller account using the standard steps, you must select a brand.

Review and edit products for Meta Ads catalog ads

For the Advantage+ Catalog Ads campaign type, select a product catalog and product set on the ad group screen. The products appear in Products in the product set. Review product images, names, prices, and availability before launching your ads, and click Edit to make changes there.

Field

Accepted values

New Price

Enter the amount in the product's currency. It must be greater than 0 and no more than 1,000,000,000. Currencies without decimal places, such as Japanese yen, accept whole numbers only. Leave the field blank to keep the price unchanged.

Availability

Choose from In Stock, Out of stock, Preorder, Available for Order, Discontinued, and other options.

Description

1–5,000 characters

When you save, changes apply to the product catalog immediately, before the ads launch. They also affect active ads that use the same catalog. Setting availability to Out of stock sets the item's inventory to 0 on Meta. For catalogs managed through a feed, the next feed update overwrites these changes. You cannot edit products in a catalog that is not owned by the business associated with the connected ad account.

Create TikTok Ads with Upgraded Smart+

For TikTok Ads Conversion, Lead Generation, and App Promotion campaigns, the basic information screen includes Creation method. Select Create with Upgraded Smart+ to use a method where TikTok automatically optimizes delivery, bids, and creatives. It is off by default.

When enabled, the call to action (CTA) is selected automatically, and you must specify a TikTok account. Creating campaigns with Upgraded Smart+ requires permission for the ad account on TikTok. If permission has not been granted, an error occurs during creation.

Audiences for Yahoo! Display Ads

On the ad group screen, you can specify up to 100 audience lists each under Include and Excluded. Suggestions show the list name, type, and reach.

  • Under Shared audiences, search by name for audiences provided by LY Corporation based on interests, purchase intent, demographics, or life events. You can then select Add to delivery or Add to exclusion. For categories with subcategories, you can also select the entire category.

  • Click Create a search keyword list to create a list of users who searched Yahoo! JAPAN for the keywords you enter. Enter up to 100 keywords separated by line breaks or commas, with up to 80 characters per keyword. For Audience range, select Wide (media default) or Narrow. Immediately after creation, reach shows 0 because the data is still being aggregated.

Manage ads after launch

You can also edit and manage launched campaigns from Cascade.
